Please bear with me as I revamp my blog. It’s been a rough couple of weeks, and I’ll get to that in a moment, but as you can see I’ve lost all of my posts and much of my formatting.

Holidays always seem to be a trying time for me, and this year is proving to be no exception. I’ve gotten the majority of my shopping done, thankfully. I’m 100% sure my daughter is going to be ecstatic with what I’ve bought her. However, there are also a lot of negatives to holidays for me, namely I always seem to get a stroke of bad luck around this time of year. However, a positive thing that happened is that when I totaled my car a bit back the lot I bought it from took the insurance offer, then waived the rest of the note, and let me get another vehicle. That was one major improvement, despite a higher payment. The car itself is quite nice, low milage, and a 2017 year model. It is actually the first “new” vehicle I’ve ever owned, so I feel rather accomplished despite this last month and a half of hardships.

Changes around the Office

Well, the guy above me lost his shit, threw his phone at the company owner, and said he quit. Therefore I just inherited a whole mess yet again. Unfortunately while this puts me in a better position in the company it also does not come with a pay raise as of yet and also makes things incredibly difficult for me for the next month or so. In the long run I think it will bode well for everyone after the initial stress. Regardless, within the next month or two, my house will be completed and I can get out of this tiny temporary apartment. That’s actually really exciting on my part!

Changes to the Blog

Simplistically Shanae will be under a revamp the month of December. Not only do I need to clean pages out and re-write them, but I also have a ton of new stuff saved on my laptop I need to actually upload.

Reflecting upon:

  • Reading: Many historical journals for my class
  • Favourite food this month: Spaghetti is my winter-time comfort food.
  • New thing(s) I did this month: I got a new car (see above), took some super cute photos of my fur baby, excelled academically, visited two new blogs

    1. Good luck with getting everything ready for Christmas! It must be so hard having kids at Christmas, especially when they want so much (I remember what I was like lol) but I imagine it’s so rewarding on Christmas Day! Hope everything goes well and you give yourself time to enjoy it!

Good luck with work as well. Taking in extra responsibilities is never easy, especially when the pay doesn’t meet the job, but hopefully it’ll show them how hardworking you are. You can do it!

      1. Thank you Amy! I hope you’re enjoying the holiday season. It’s still been in the 80s temperature-wise here, so it doesn’t feel very “December” here, lol. I am hoping for some cold weather next week as a change of pace. Texas is beautiful when it does snow (very very rarely)

I did get to do some pretty awesome stuff this last weekend though. I’ll be posting about that this week!

    2. Sorry to hear that there’s a lot of negatives for you during the holidays 🙁 I’m glad you have most of your shopping done at least! That part is always pretty stressful for me. That’s good that you were able to get a new car too!

Wow, I can’t believe someone just quit like that. If they’re going to give you so much more work, they should really pay you more for it. I hope that pay raise comes soon.

I’m looking forward to seeing the result of your blog’s revamp!

    3. Thank you Cat! I can honestly say, I am done shopping! For one, I cannot BELIEVE how expensive toys have gotten. Even small ones are expensive now. I found myself scoffing at paying almost $10USD for a small My Little Pony figurine for my daughter, but she adores both Disney and My Little Pony…of course two expensive brands. I assume she’ll be happy with everything though. She’s gwtting quite a bit.

I am revamping as we speak for various aspects of the site.

    4. Sounds like it’s been a stressful season 🙁 And sucks that the guy just upped and left you all his work… I do hope a promotion and a salary rise will be coming your way… (as a matter of fact they can just give you the whole salary HE’s been getting, if you’re gonna be doing his job!) And new house sounds exciting!! Happy Holidays, and I hope after the initial month or so, your start to 2018 will be calmer!

    5. I do not understand how these jobs can get away with giving people more work load that other people did and got paid more for, but don’t do pay raises. It baffles me. DX I hope you are doing okay lately. I look forward to your changes on your blog. ♥
